3D AREOLA RESTORATIVE TATTOOS
What is the difference between a 3D areola tattoo and a regular tattoo?
A 3D areola tattoo uses advanced shading and color placement to create dimension and realism. It is specifically designed for post-mastectomy skin and scar tissue.
How soon after reconstruction can I get an areola tattoo?
Most clients can book 4–6 months after final reconstruction and their last surgical procedure, depending on healing. Always follow your surgeon’s guidance and request approval from your plastic surgeon.
Is the tattoo permanent?
It is long-lasting but may fade over time. Many clients choose a refresh every few years.
Does it hurt?
Most clients feel very little to no sensation following mastectomy and reconstruction.
Is this safe if I have implants?
Absolutely! As we tattoo we are only going into the dermis, which is about 2 mm, and no further. These restorative tattoos are safe
even if you’ve received a DIEP flap and the skin is thin after reconstruction.
Can you match my natural areola color?
Yes. I custom blend pigments to match your natural tones or to create your preferred aesthetic.

Does it hurt?

Yes. I tailor the technique to your skin type to reduce risk of irritation or hyperpigmentation. We work on Hypertrophic (raised), Hypotrophic (indented), textured scars. We do not work on keloid scars for the chance that it would make the keloid worse.
What’s the difference between Hypertrophic and Keloid scars?
Hypertrophic scars are slightly raised but remain within the incision or injury borders. Keloid scars tend to be raised, bumpy and extend beyond the border of the incision or injury.

Does it hurt?
Most clients report no pain, just mild discomfort or irritation sensation.
How long does it last?
Results are long-lasting; touch-ups may be recommended after 1–2 years depending on skin type.
Is this safe on all skin types?
Yes. Pigments are customized and techniques are tailored to each client to reduce risk of irritation or hyperpigmentation. We work on Hypertrophic (raised), Hypotrophic (indented), textured scars.
We do not work on keloid scars for the chance that it would make the keloid worse.
How soon can I see results?
You’ll notice immediate pigment application, with optimal blending after healing (usually 4–6 weeks) at which time you will return for a touch-up to complete the camouflage.

Who is phalloplasty tattooing for?
This service is available to individuals who have undergone phalloplasty for gender-affirming or reconstructive reasons, including those recovering from trauma, cancer, or congenital conditions.
When can tattooing be done after phalloplasty surgery?
Tattooing should only be performed after full surgical healing has occurred or after you’ve been medically cleared. Some individuals are medically cleared to have the tattoos in between surgeries. This timeline varies by individual and surgical method, but a consultation and medical clearance are required before treatment to ensure safety and optimal results.
Does phalloplasty tattooing cover scars?
Yes. One of the primary goals of paramedical phalloplasty tattooing is to soften the appearance of surgical scars and help them blend more naturally with surrounding skin.
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions varies depending on skin type, healing response, and desired results. Two sessions are required to build depth, realism, and long-lasting pigment retention.
Is the treatment private and confidential?
Absolutely. All services are performed in a discreet, private setting with strict attention to confidentiality, comfort, and respect.
Is phalloplasty tattooing painful?
Sensitivity varies from person to person, especially depending on nerve sensation following surgery. Comfort measures are discussed during the consultation, and sessions are approached with care and pacing based on individual tolerance
How do I know if I’m ready for this treatment?
A consultation is the best way to determine readiness. During this appointment, healing timelines, skin condition, expectations, and medical considerations are reviewed to ensure the treatment is appropriate and safe.
Do you work with surgeons or medical teams?
Yes. When appropriate, collaboration with your surgical or medical team may be requested to confirm healing status and treatment timing, as well as performing the treatment at your doctors office.

Most clients feel only mild sensation, or describe it as a light “scratchy” feeling that doesn’t register as pain.
How long do results last?
Results are long-lasting, more than a year or so however, each individual is different and results cannot be guaranteed. Eventually, expression lines will return, naturally. Occasional maintenance may be recommended depending on skin type.Is it safe for all skin types?
